University Enrichment Fellowship: $32,000 in year 1 and 5

Michigan State University | College of Social Science (2021-2026)

This 5-year support package is the university’s most prestigious graduate fellowship. Only 20 University Enrichment Fellowships are awarded for an incoming class of approximately 500 doctoral students. This fellowship recognizes the most outstanding graduate applicants from across the entire university, selected for both their past achievements and their future promise.

 

Michigan State Interdisciplinary Training in Education and Social Sciences (MITTENSS) Fellowship: $34,000 each yr. Institute of Education Sciences at the US Department of Education

Michigan State University | College of Education (2022-2025)

This program provides training to conduct research reflecting the intersection of the social sciences with education policy evaluation and implementation to complement Ph.D. training.

 

Rutgers Equity Alliance for Community Health: $41,480

Rutgers University -Camden | Center for Urban Research and Education (CURE)

This grant supports CURE’s partnership with One Camden – a nonprofit organization that manages universal enrollment for the Camden Community School District (CCSD) – where practitioners and scholars assess the effectiveness and equity of Camden’s school choice process.

 

Graduate Pathways of Intellectual Leadership (GPIL) Fellow: $3,000

Michigan State University | College of Arts & Letters (2022-2023)

This funding supports participation in the development of a graduate student recruitment program that enacts an ethic of care for graduate students’ ideas and a demonstrated actionable respect for who they are as whole persons, welcoming them into an academic environment that values intentionality, authenticity, and trust.
